The campaign of sterilization of dogs and cats in the city of Cartagena postpone its start two weeks, until the second half of November, as reported by the Department of Quality of Life.
The reason is none other than the need to clarify with veterinary professionals the final costs of the operations, which will be funded largely by the city, depending on the characteristics and weight of pets.
The campaign will be held for a month through an agreement between the City and veterinarians who perform interventions, also applying a discount to its services as collaboration in it.
Although initially indicated that sterilizations could have a final price of about 40 euros, this amount could be higher depending on the characteristics of the animal and its weight.
The amount allocated by the City Council this campaign is 14,000 euros and it is estimated that it could get to benefit about 200 dogs and cats, who must be enrolled in the municipal register of pets and their owners registered in the municipality of Cartagena.
