The City of Cartagena, through the Department of Youth, has this morning signed an agreement that provides a municipal space to seven associations Cartagena to carry out their activities, located in the Resource Center Canteras, for a period of one year extendible.
The mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, has been responsible for signing this agreement cession of Hotel Associations, accompanied by the Councillor for Youth, Ricardo Segado, in a ceremony attended by representatives of associations.
In addition, the mayor has visited each of the spaces newly installed these associations, besides approaching the activities of the Astronomical Association of Cartagena, installed on the third floor of this building.
The tadpoles, Clik, Eduka Sociocultural and Graphene, the Cartagenero Center dramatization of history and the Federation of Padel and Badminton Murcia associations develop their activities in this municipal space, that this transfer of use aims to give space to all Cartagena.
The Canteras Resource Center, a space that so far this underused as indicated by the mayor, is adequate space for these associations for the environment and green spaces and facilities you have.
Lopez has indicated that the City Council will continue trying to come associations and request this service, using the occasion to, in addition to the associations can now develop their activity there, commend the work of the Youth Council for commissioning value of this space.
The Resource Center Canteras also has an active shelter and a recording studio for music groups and will soon proceed to open a cafeteria, as indicated by the mayor Ricardo Segado.
Youth Councilman expressed his wish that the relationship between the city and the collective remains very fruitful.
In addition, to meet this building and its utilities throughout the day is developing an Open Day for all citizens who want to come and learn more about hand the facilities and associations that currently are working in the center.
Throughout the day there will be an exhibition of sculptures, a modular workshop graffiti or music.
