The Local Government Committee this morning approved the proposal of Councillor Area Decentralization and Good Governance, Juan Pedro Torralba, on grants to neighborhood associations and civic organizations, non-profit, by the process of competitive tendering.
In total they have been granted aid amounting to 206,939 euros to 71 associations, as reported by Juan Pedro Torralba.
The aid will aim to cover activities to promote citizen participation and partnership, as well as the maintenance of social premises.
Torralba has stressed that this year, as new, the emphasis has been to neighborhood associations that lack municipal Neighborhood Council, as the others receive contributions from its board.
SUBSIDIES AND INSTITUTIONS LARGEST NONPROFIT
The Governing Board also approved, under the heading of Social Service, subsidies for federations associations and senior centers and clubs over Cartagena, by the process of free competition.
The aid amounting to 64,100 euros, of which 40 will be beneficiary associations and clubs.
Finally, we have also approved grants and non-profit institutions with headquarters or permanent delegation in the municipality of Cartagena.
Of these 47 institutions will benefit, distributed as follows: 112,000 euros for social exclusion;
98,500 for disability;
72,000 euros for immigrants and 28,000 for drug dependency.
