The Local Government has approved in its meeting this morning the full prepayment of loans from the Official Credit Institute (ICO), amounting to 20,191,986 euros.
These loans were concluded in 2012 amounting to 35'5 million to cover the payment of suppliers.
As advanced the Councillor of Finance, Isabel Garcia, the early repayment of these loans, the City will get out of Adjustment Plan and the Ministry of Finance will release the tight control were subject to municipal accounts.
Thus the Council may make transfers to companies and organizations of local capital and can hire new staff, albeit within limited margins imposed by the general state budget.
Economic management carried out by the municipal government has allowed write off most of the debt and advance in six years the cancellation of these loans.
Among these efforts is primarily the extraordinary income from the tax assessment of buildings, installations and works of the new Repsol refinery in Escombreras.
