The Local Government Board, which met this morning under the chairmanship of Mayor, Jose Lopez, has approved, at his suggestion, the signing of a specific collaboration agreement with the University of Murcia to launch the comarcalización the Campo de Cartagena.

Regarding the study of the feasibility of the Province of Cartagena in the Committee on Reform of the Statute of the Regional Assembly, Lopez has denounced the hypocrisy of some political groups have already begun to make value judgments before they are exposed by experts the compelling reasons that support the creation of this figure of territorial decentralization of powers of the State.
The agreement has approved the Local Government Committee this morning it includes a financial contribution of the City of 18,000 euros and a maximum duration for conducting research by legal experts from 4 months.
CONVENTION FOR THE CONGRESS OF MODERNISM
Also on the proposal of the mayor, the Local Government Board has approved a collaboration agreement with the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) concerning the dissemination of the technical conferences of the International Congress on Modernism in the Mediterranean Basin (CINAM).
Through this conference the study, exchange of knowledge and appreciation of Modernism as art revivalism of the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century will be promoted.
The congress will be held on 17,18 and 19 November in Cartagena, part of the commemorative program 2016, Year of Modernism.
