The area councilor Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, has gathered this morning on behalf of the City of Cartagena, the award "Igloo Verde" which recognizes the municipal commitment to recycling glass in a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Ministry Water, Agriculture and Environment.

This distinction corresponds to the 2016 Summer Plan, an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Environment of the CARM and Ecovidrio, non-profit organization responsible for managing the recycling of glass packaging waste in Spain.

The City of Cartagena has taken part of this campaign having passed the city, and five other municipalities in the region, the recycling target set.
