Area Councilman Decentralization, Juan Pedro Torralba;

Councilman Area Interior, Francisco Aznar;

the Councillor for Finance, Isabel García;

and the Councillor for Transparency, MªJosé Soler;

They met yesterday afternoon with the presidents of the local neighborhood councils to work on policy priorities for 2017.

During the meeting, both Councilman Decentralization and the Councillor of Finance requested the representatives of Boards efectuasen its budget forecasts for next year, diagnosing the needs of the residents and communities of their territorial demarcation reference to the budget of this year;

and they conveyed the need for such information in possession of the Department of Finance at the end of next month.

This initiative aims to avoid delays pairings in recent years to the implementation of neighborhood budgets.

The deputies gave those responsible for the Boards of both the collaboration of the local government and municipal technicians to work in a coordinated manner for the benefit of residents of the municipality.

PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING

In the meeting with the representatives of the Neighborhood Councils commissioning of the pilot that involves the introduction for the upcoming 2017 of participatory budgets, driven by the Department of Finance also it addressed.

In the search for greater participation and transparency possible, the Department of Portal and Transparency Office has published a brochure on participatory budgets that residents can collect in the neighborhood councils, SKIP and neighborhood associations.

This measure was known yesterday by the representatives of the Neighborhood Councils, being welcomed very positively.

On October 28, at 18:30 pm will be the next meeting to continue explaining participatory budgeting in the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy.

At this event they are invited all presidents and members of the boards of neighborhood associations, women, social, seniors, sports, cultural, educational, youth, music, commercial, religious, etc.

(And their respective federations) who wish to attend.

On November 4, it will be meeting with all citizens who want to also go in the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy at 20:00.
