Cartagena City Council will invest 118,000 euros in the project of urban regeneration Calle Licenciado Cascales and stretch Jabonerías, performance driven from the Department of Infrastructure headed by Mayor Jose Lopez.
This new initiative, which will be bid in the near future, responds to the need to improve urban services in the streets Licensed Cascales and Jabonerías, the latter in the section that corresponds to the environment of the Casa del Niño, due to poor posing pedestrian and wheeled pavements.
The work will include the demolition of existing, small and deteriorated sidewalks, being replaced by a single platform so that the pedestrian traffic to reach greater role as occurs at the recently opened Plaza del Apprentice and Carmen Street.
To achieve this object, pedestrian traffic areas will, after completion of this work, of greater width.
Also, the road will rise to the level of acerapara highlight the presence of a singularity in the itinerary inducing speed reduction.
From the resulting two sidewalks, two wider than the original, it will equip which have greater width of a line of trees, allowing shade in this area to facilitate the transit of citizens in the vicinity during the summer months.
Similarly, it will proceed to the renewal of water pipes (by the concessionaire), as well as lasredes telecommunications and street lighting luminaries led type.
The project, carried out by municipal technicians of the Department of Infrastructure and ejecuciónde works whose term is two months, and give aesthetic complements the performance already executed in the Plaza del Apprentice continuity.
