The Third Day Domestic Cartagena Film remember and expand the intimate memory of the city and its surroundings through a day of screenings of family movies recorded on super 8, 8mm and 16 mm.
The goal of this day is to educate local citizens about the importance of this type of material as part of family memories and historical document.
The preservation project film domésticoMemorias cels, in collaboration with the Film Festival Cartagena, FICC, the Department of Culture and the Municipal Archives, invites citizens to take out of your drawers forgotten rolls of Super 8, 8mm, 16mm and 9.5mm and bring them back to enjoy along with the audience on 15 November at the Municipal Archives and 29 November at the Cultural Hall of the Caja de Ahorros del Mediterráneo Foundation.
Until November 15, you can bring movies to the Municipal Archives of Cartagena, where they will recepcionadas to prepare them properly for projection.
The same day 15, in the mornings and afternoons, homeowners who so wish will be served in the Municipal Archives by team members Memory cels to check what state are their films, project them and introduce them to the options available preserving (digitizing) their memories and share them with others.
The reception of these films are Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 13:45 pm and Tuesday and Wednesday from 17:00 to 19:45 hours.
On Tuesday November 29, within the program of FICC / 45, will proceed to the screening of a selection of family films received in the call, as well as various audiovisual content generated by the memories cels project from its film archive domestic in the Foundation Caja Ahorros del Mediterráneo from 18:00 to 21:00 hours.
Admission is free until full capacity.
Such meetings or Home Movie Days, initiated by the Center for Home Movies in 2002 in the United States, has reached an international character, and now takes place for the third time in Cartagena.
