From Oct. 18 to Nov. 17, it is provided in the premises of the School of Public Safety of the City of Cartagena, SPAT, the Firefighting equipment for use in hospitals course designed specifically for General Universitario St. Lucia Hospital in Cartagena , and taught by specialized staff Fire Station Cartagena.
The first course takes place from 09:00 to 14:00 hours, performing editions Tuesday and Thursday of each week, to complete scheduled 9 editions.
They attend the same around 170 people, including medical staff, nursing, general services and management team, in order to acquire the following theoretical contents: theory of fire extinguishing media, personal protective equipment, and structure of emergencies in the region of Murcia.
Health also will practice with portable fire extinguishers, hoses and BIE and autonomous equipment Deep Breath, for effective action against fires near misses at the University General Hospital St. Lucia.
This course comes under the collaboration between the Management of the Health Area II-Cartagena and the city of Cartagena, for better staff training as part of the hospital complex, which will result in greater safety of all citizens Cartagena.
The activity falls within the hospital Self-Protection Plan Health Area II-Cartagena spanning several lines of work, including the addition of these days the plan Evacuation and Disaster Health Area is located.
