The eighth edition of FEMADIS, fair resources and services for seniors and people with disabilities, will take place between 21 and 23 October on the promenade that runs along the Heroes of Cavite and Santiago de Cuba plaza, organized by the City from Cartagena.
The stands will participate in FEMADIS 2016 represent both public and private institutions, as associations of elderly and disabled people.
All of them will present their services and resources to improve the quality of life of these groups.
This event is promoted by the Department of Social Services, through the Unit for the elderly and disabled.
Carmen Martin, mayor of Social Services City of Cartagena, will be responsible for opening this fair next Friday, October 21, at 12:00 pm with a parade of folk costumes of the region of Cartagena to showcase seniors different clubs for the elderly.
Thanks to the work of the Department of Social Services, FEMADIS has become an annual reference event for elderly and disabled people, in addition to the family and responsible entities and agencies directly related to their care and assistance.
In addition, during the fair, the largest and the various entities also show the activities that have been prepared in their centers and associations throughout the year as carnival performances, workshops memory training, music therapy, dance, etc. ..
This is the third of five fairs that the City of Cartagena has organized for October and will serve to boost the associations of the city.

BUSINESS ASSOCIATIONS OF ELDERLY AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
Participating companies represent all kinds of resources and services that help these groups to remain comfortably at home and environment as Valera, Tuttiscooter, Tunstall-Televida, Serenissima Iberia, Gerifácil, Residencia los Almendros, Residential House, Clinical Emae Center , Jera Avanza.
In addition, Insurance Saint Lucia, Arquisocial and Bea takes care of you participating for the first time this year.
Older people belonging to the 42 clubs in the municipality and the Federation that includes, collaborate in this event through the stands of crafts, handicrafts and gastronomy, where the work they have done in the various workshops will show: antiques, esparto, homemade soap, crafts and delicacies typical field of Cartagena to be sold for charitable purposes.
In this edition also there will be more presence of associations of persons with disabilities as AFAL, Multiple Sclerosis, Astus, apexes, Sodicar, Personality Disorders, Primisport, San Pedro Store Asylum, Soi, Afibrocar and Eleven.
