The Casino de Cartagena held on Saturday, October 15, the opening of the 2016/17 season activities with a concert by the hand of the Musical Union Cartagonova, who played classical pieces for the occasion.

This inaugural concert started about nine o'clock at night in the halls of the Palace House-Tilly, and was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, as well as the rector of the UPCT, Alejandro Diaz.

The Musical Union CARTAGONOVA played under the direction of Jaime Belda and Breanne Happy Jaramillo as soprano, interpreting pieces were from soundtracks like The Godfather, The Strike or the classic Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz, the military march Winning Barlovento or pasodoble Grace of God.
