Community Ministry and City Council will discuss the status of projects and reach a consensus on the final location of the AVE train station in the city
The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructures, Pedro Rivera, today announced that the Company Cartagena High Speed ​​will meet on November 3 to discuss the situation of the projects that allow the arrival of the AVE to the city of Cartagena.
He stressed that one of the issues on the agenda will be to determine "the final location of the AVE station in Cartagena," which will have to be agreed between the three administrations (Autonomous Region, Ministry of Development and the City of Cartagena).
The Minister Pedro Rivera stressed that "this meeting, which had been demanding for some time, is the result of the commitment that the Minister of Public Works came with President Pedro Antonio Sanchez in Madrid just a few weeks ago."
"It is very positive news for the city and the region of Cartagena and Murcia, as it is an infrastructure that will contribute very significantly to economic progress way," said the head of the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure.
He noted that this "represents a decisive step for the future connection of the city to the high-speed network" and stressed that the regional government "will continue working hard until the first high-speed train to the city of Cartagena."
"The regional government is carrying out an intense work for the arrival of high speed to the region and continue until you reach the city of Murcia, Cartagena and then to Lorca, thus connecting Murcia with Andalusia" Minister Pedro Rivera said.
