Farmers in the area of ​​La Aljorra have expressed concern at the beginning of the refurbishment of the railway line Totana Cartagena for use as greenways Campo de Cartagena, passing by this council.

Today they had planned the continuation of the works and as we have reported the farmers, the section of the greenway in this area would prevent these workers access to their land with heavy machinery and paralyze collecting their crops.

This morning the president of the neighborhood met with them to support their claims in the absence of information from the municipal government, which has ignored the demands of this group.

For the Popular Party, the most serious is that no one has given any explanation to the questions raised.

These farmers have denounced the lack of information on the project by the municipal government.

In July 2015, the president of the JJVV Aljorra requested in writing to the council responsible, Obdulia Gomez, an interview to report the details of the work, but never got an answer.

Agriculture is one of the main economic engines of Cartagena, which many families depend on the Aljorra and other councils.

In this sense, the municipal government can not play with the uncertainty of these workers, who need an immediate response.

Therefore, the Popular Party urges the Government to meet with this group of farmers and find a solution that benefits everyone involved.

If response is not obtained by the municipal government, the Popular Party asked in plenary by the situation of this group.
