Infrastructure area, led by the mayor, Jose Lopez, is carrying out various actions aimed at monitoring, surveillance and conditioning of woodland in the municipality of Cartagena.
On the one hand, checking the status of the sixteen century old ficus of the municipality, work twice a year and will last for five weeks.
These works are alternating with the usual pruning work, collecting leaves and cleaning measures carried out in different locations.
It is a thinning and pruning consolidation of branches, to prevent its fall to the ublic route.
Specifically, it will act on existing copies in the square of San Francisco;
Spain Square;
Sea Wall;
UPCT (campus of the Wall) and Military Government.
PRUNING OF ORIENTAL PLATANERAS
Similarly, in the near future, we will proceed to start pruning trees and sanitation in Avenida Reina Victoria Eugenia, with special emphasis in relation to copies Oriental banana trees.
This is a service recovery for acting on these large trees and, thus, avoid the danger of detachment of branches on public roads, as well as others that affect lampposts and facades of buildings.
