The basin organization has met today with agricultural associations, which have shown interest in the use of these probes to the current dry period is permitted (until September 30, 2017)
The Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS) has held a meeting with agricultural associations Fecoam, COAG and UPA in which they have expressed concern about the shortage afflicting the field of Cartagena this morning.
Among the measures proposed these associations is authorization, under Royal Decree Drought, drought wells that have applied.
The basin organization has so far received 64 requests, although it is unknown how many will ultimately be presented.
All applications will be studied and processed in accordance with the water legislation and environmental.
The central and regional governments will work on this issue and jointly coordinated, on a case to case and under current legislation.
