Cartagena is the only City of Murcia that meets 100% of the indicators in quality and transparency of public communication of Map Infoparticipa reference transparency at the state level, being an initiative promoted by the Autonomous University of Barcelona .
More than eight thousand municipalities in the country are evaluated on 52 indicators grouped in various areas studying access to public information provided by the various local authorities: 1: Transparency in the Corporation: Who are the political representatives ?;
How to manage collective resources ?;
How to manage economic resources: budgets, salaries, contracts, grants);
2: Information for Participation: What information on the town and the management of collective resources ?;
What tools provide for public participation?
Map InfoParticipa published, since 2012, the results for which it is judged whether municipalities provide basic information about who the political representatives and how they manage collective assets based on the new indicators adapted to the Transparency Law.
As stated by the Councillor for Transparency Portal and Office, José María Soler, this recognition is a new argument that sustains and gives meaning to a global strategy that includes open government transparency, citizen participation and open data.
This is, in short, has said Soler, a new way of understanding the municipal management in Cartagena, making partners with neighbors every day of your nearest administration, providing access to public information.
Cartagena joins 25 other municipalities around the country that have consegudio meet all indicators of transparency, all located in Catalonia.
