One more year, the College of Opticians-Optometrists of Murcia celebrates World Day of Optometry.
The next Thursday 13 and Friday 14 October, more than 300 students in fourth and fifth grade from schools in Cartagena will enjoy games and educational activities in which they will become pirates for a few hours fighting the diopter.
From 9:00 to 14: 00h, Plaza San Francisco will be the setting in which children can perform numerous activities related to eye care and eye health.
Among these activities the children to come they will dress up pirates, conducted workshops visual skills and compete in team games.
In addition, students will take a big pirate ship class cardboard decorated by themselves.
The aim of this campaign is to convey the importance of proper eye health from childhood and work practicing professionals optics and optometry in treating vision problems.
Many schools suffer visual dysfunctions that affect school performance and it is important to conduct periodic reviews to prevent possible problems.
