The Armed Forces and the Civil Guard have organized for next weekend a series of cultural and dissemination events in Cartagena, on the occasion of the celebration of the National Day, which aims to promote the culture of defense and work the institution in defense of the interests of Spain.
The Armed Forces put once again available to the citizens of Cartagena a variety of institutional events, offering guided tours of the Military Arsenal visits, ships Maritime Action Force, exhibitions tactical and promotional material of the Navy, Marine Corps, army and Air force.
On Friday 7th October at 19.37 hours, coinciding with the decline, there will be a solemn lowering of Flag at the Royal Pier concourse Scale Alfonso XII of Cartagena, which will be attended by the mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez.
In this event will participate a joint company formed by a section of the Army belonging to the Antiaircraft Artillery Regiment 73, a section of the Air belonging to the General Air Academy, a section of the Civil Guard, a section of the Force Maritime Action, and a section of the School of Marine and General Albacete Fuster, accompanied by the Music Unit Tercio de Levante.
Among these activities to mark the Day of the National Party, you can visit the minesweepers Duero in the spring of Alfonso XII of the Port of Cartagena on Saturday 8 October from 10.00 to 18.30 in continued schedule.
On the esplanade of the port of Cartagena material Tercio de Levante, Flotilla Contraminas measures, Diving Center of the Navy, the Antiaircraft Artillery Regiment No. 73 will be exposed, Sappers Parachute Squadron Air Force and Air Force Academy.
Visiting hours will be on Saturday 8 October from 10.00 hours to 18.30 hours.
There will also be guided tours of the Military Arsenal of Cartagena on Saturday and Sunday visits: at 10.00 and 12.00 hours and 18.00 hours on Monday.
