The City Council met today at the School of Architecture of the UPCT, representatives and experts from European cities that make up the MAPS project (Cartagena, Piacenza, Varazdin, Szombathely, Espinho, Koblenz, Longford, Serres and Telsiai), all directed by Gloria Cerliani, project leader and architect Luca Lanzoni, appointed by the European Union.
This project aims to rehabilitate abandoned military spaces in degraded areas.
The local group of Cartagena, was represented by the manager of the municipal Society Casco Antiguo, Antonio Garcia and municipal technicians, and focuses its work on the recovery of the Moorish Castle and the neighborhood of Mateos.
The conclusions of this conference and the progress of the project will be presented tomorrow at a press conference on October 6 at 10 am.
