For the twentieth consecutive year will develop during this school year the Municipal Road Education Program (PMEV), an initiative developed jointly by the departments of Public Safety and Education for children to learn traffic signs and rules of traffic safety a playful way.
This programaestá aimed at students in the fifth year of primary education in all schools and Primary Education (CEIP).
The Education Park Road has hosted today, 3 October, the meeting of the Governing Board of Road Safety Education where has presented the memory of last year and have released the activities to be developed in elcurso 2016/17.
The Board was chaired by the Councillor for Citizen Security of the City of Cartagena, Francisco Aznar and has also attended the Councillor for Education, David Martinez.
The Councillor for Citizen Security has evaluated the number of students who participated in the Road Education Program last year, according to Aznar, have been around 2,600 students in the fifth grade of primary education from different schools and 300 juniors Secondary Education mandatory.
In addition, for this school year, according to the mayor moment there is provided sixty visit schools and Primary Education and Secondary Education losinstitutos request.
On the other hand, Francisco Aznar, stressed the importance of Municipal Road Education Program (PMEV) because, on the one hand, students in fifth grade and third ESO know the traffic rules and road signs and, more importantly, according to Aznar, students, who learn by playing, so that pedestrians are good and are, tomorrow, good drivers, in order to reduce traffic accidents are instructed.
ACTIVITIES PROGRAM DRIVER EDUCATION (ENP)
Fifth graders of Primary Education in their schools working with teachers and prepare the visit to the Park Road Education (ENP).
Once there they are working in a fun everyday situations where they have to apply knowledge of road safety.
Then, students participate in a contest where you have to apply what they have learned and then become pedestrians and drivers to carry out a set of orientation and thus earn a membership card of the ENP.
Teachers must continue to work the notions of road safety in schools.
With students from third ESO PMEV the theoretical part is done in classrooms teaching center, and prior preparatory meetings for the activity with tutors and counselors are made.
OTHER ACTIVITIES PLANNED
In addition, the Municipal Road Safety Education Program (PMEV) from the Road Safety Park have been prepared other activities taking place during the school year 2016/17:
Summer School organized in 2017.
Prepare activities for Christmas holidays and Easter.
Students receive five years enrolled in Early Childhood Education centers that request.
They receive special education students and organize activadades with them.
