The Abraham Project Association, within the framework of collaboration with the City of Cartagena for the collection of clothing, footwear and toys, and within its social program for 2016 activities being carried out in the Neighborhood Association of the slum Villalba, family activities.

For neighborhood children aged between 6 and 12 years, will begin on 3 October in the premises of the Association of Residents of the neighborhood, a workshop Study Support, which will be held from Monday to Friday from 17h to 19h.

This workshop will begin with a healthy snack with fruits and other foods that promote habits and healthy eating.

After the snack, from 17:30 to 18:30, children perform the tasks of class with the support of a qualified teacher who will solve your doubts, counting new this year with the use of computers as a key support tools study (for papers, finding information, communicating through email, etc.).

Friday, after the snack, instead of performing the duties, a theater workshop in which children in a playful and fun learn to develop verbal and body language and stimulate their memory and mental agility will develop .

This workshop involves continuing the work done during the past school year with the Project Educating Family, under the Gypsy Development Plan, which aims to promote improvements in school performance of participants and the involvement of parents in integral development their children, paying particular attention to academic aspects.

Meanwhile, the group of neighborhood women continue Activities Promotion Women Villalba, consisting of workshops of communication skills, home management, healthy habits and school parents (Self-esteem, bullying, violence verbal, motivation ...), these issues will be worked transversely in the theater workshop in which they participate with the children in the neighborhood.

The workshops, beginning on September 28, are held on Wednesdays at 11:30 in the local office of the Neighborhood Association of Villalba, who has been working in community development work in the neighborhood.

In order to promote the inclusion of families, both in schools and in the neighborhood, activities using this standard area resources and outputs to the Municipal Library, Exhibitions, meetings, etc. will be organized, so Villalba's neighbors will increasingly using existing resources in their city.
