Councilwoman Portal and Accountability Office, María José Soler, has participated this morning in the Transparency course and good governance: Development of Transparency and citizen participation, part of the Training Plan of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces initiative ( FEMP) held yesterday in Madrid.
Soler has participated in the round table Commitments for Good Governance.
The FEMP Code sharing debate with representatives of the municipalities of Vigo, Albacete and Puertollano.
The mayor of Portal and Transparency Office has pointed out, during his speech, the ongoing work of self-assessment review and transparency promoted by the City of Cartagena, a task aimed at bringing the administration closer to citizens.
The ultimate goal, stated José María Soler, is that the neighbor regain lost confidence in institutions and politicians, through management based on transparency and participation.
The course, which has had its headquarters in the Hotel Catalonia Gran Vía de Madrid, has addressed issues such as the implementation of the Act on State Transparency in local authorities;
updating participatory processes and transparency in local institutions, among other issues.
The sessions are established as a vehicle to transfer approaches and tools for deploying local policies of transparency and citizen participation to share experiences of local entities with different characteristics, in addition to consolidating the operation of the Network of Local Authorities for Transparency and Citizen Participation of the FEMP.
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE RIGHT TO KNOW

Similarly, citizens will know some of the main data contained in the Portal Municipal Transparency, by exposing various advertising media.
The day will continue with the celebration of the Round Table the transparency and access to information.
Perspectives from the local level, which will run from 18:00 pm in the Auditorium of the Museum of the Roman Theatre.
