The Real Club de Regatas de Cartagena organized this past weekend one of the most important races of the calendar, as is the City of Cartagena IV Spar Grand Trophy for the Optimist class.
An event that brought together 110 sailors from various parts of the Spanish geography.
In this edition, two special attractions have made the City of Cartagena a different trophy: In Port races (the club is celebrating this type of competition in the inner basin of the Port) and the night race on Saturday.
Both events were made possible by the Port Authority and the Maritime Captain, and made a difference, being the best claim of the Port of Cartagena.
In sports, the Ibizan Lucas Rinetti, nautical San Antoni Abad, won the final victory, although the margin with the second, the Cartagena Marina León, was two points.
Rinetti, with a partial victory, completed the cartagenera appointment with 22 points, while local, with a third as best result, closed its participation with 24. The yachtsman Torrevieja, meanwhile, also with a partial victory as remarkable he concluded with 30 points.
The awards ceremony, held at the Club de Regatas, was attended by Ricardo Segado Councilman Sports City of Cartagena;
Luis Navarro, Director Comercial Del Upper Group;
Antonio Chamber, representative of Carthaginians and Romans;
and Santiago Lopez, Vocal Dinghy RCR Cartagena.
