Bicycles took the city on Sunday, September 25, in two acts that encouraged citizens and athletes to get on two wheels on the Day of Mobility and Cicloturista March Carthaginians and Romans.
Organized in collaboration with the Department of Sports City of Cartagena, and with the assistance of the mayor Ricardo Segado, who encouraged participants from the starting line, the XXVI March Cicloturista toured the west of Cartagena showing their natural surroundings with frame history of the city and the celebrations of Carthaginians and Romans.
More than 100 cyclists gathered in a harder, more demanding course than other years, which totaled 101.4 kilometers including four mountain passes: Cedacero, Algarrobo, La Cuesta and El Alto del Cedacero through its most difficult side from Isla Plana to Cartagena.
Runners enjoyed during the tour of the beautiful views of the coast of Cartagena and Mazarrón.
On the occasion of the Mobility Day, bicycles and skates focused on Heroes Square Cavite in an exhibition where through a Gymkhana were able to show their technical skills.
The celebration of mobility was motivated by the urge to accessibility and development of sustainable urban transport collective or individual.
a circuit where families, cyclists and skaters were able to stroll through the main streets of downtown Cartagena, from the Town Hall Square or the Sea Wall Street Canyon is also enabled.
