Researchers inside and outside of Spain arrived at Cartagena Congress will, Port City (26/09/2016)

The historical, cultural, patrimonial and labor value of the city of Cartagena will be the main topics to be discussed at the Cartagena conference: port city, organized by the Catholic University San Antonio through its research groups CIMAR, in collaboration with the Institut Catalan Research in cultural heritage and the Seneca Foundation.

This will be held on 5 and 6 October in Cartagena, and will include the participation of experts in different specialties in treated subjects.

Throughout the day, after the inaugural lecture given by Dr. Joaquim Nadal, director of ICRPC (Catalan Institute for Research in cultural heritage), they will be addressed in different presentations such aspects as economic socio-historical context and the Port of Cartagena , processes patrimonialization city of Cartagena, the historic port city planning or fishing in this area, among other topics.

The speakers participating in the event come from different Spanish universities such as the University of Girona, University of the Balearic Islands, University Pablo de Olavide, University of Extremadura, University of the Basque Country Euskal Haerriko, the UCAM, and also the Université Laval (Canada).

All belonging to the research group CIMAR.

CIMAR research group conducts research, studies and proposed action in parallel on different ports of the Costa Brava (Gerona), Tarragona, Palma de Mallorca, Bilbao, Barcelona, ​​Barbate (Cadiz) and Cartagena.

In this research group different educational institutions such as the Catalan Institute for Research in cultural heritage involved.
