The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) and the Association of Chemists of Murcia again teach this course together an online degree in Food Safety, based on the agreement signed by both entities.
The Master in Food Safety is a proper title UPCT 60 credits and professionalizing character.
"It is designed from the demands of training of those working in the food industry, from agronomists to pharmaceuticals, through chemical, biotech scientists and veterinarians," explains the secretary of the College and the course, Juan Zaragoza.
"The student will acquire the necessary skills to perform management functions, management, development, implementation, audits and improvement of food security mechanisms following Community regulations and ISO standards, requirements for any organization in the food chain and private standards recognized international level by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), "explains Antonio Bódalo, dean of the College of Chemists.
"The food industry requires professionals with this knowledge because companies are required by law to implement food safety systems and many customers require their suppliers to implement quality standards that are studied in this master" adds Zaragoza.
"Its main added value is the online teaching mode, allowing simultaneous I take the course of development of other activities manner, for example labor," says Alfredo Palop, academic director of the title.
This graduate students must hold a bachelor's degree, graduate, engineer or graduate or professional experience prove at least three years in the field of the activities of the course.
Engineers, chemists, biochemists, food technologists, biologists, veterinarians, biotechnologists and pharmaceutical, among others, are the profiles that best fit multidisciplinary subjects from the Masters.
Training in this unofficial graduate will begin on October 10 and pre-registration and registration period will remain open until October 6.
