The second deputy mayor of Cartagena, Francisco Calderon, has met this morning at the administrative building of San Miguel, the Minister of Cooperation of the Bulahi Moh Fadel Sid Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR). In this meeting institutional also participated the member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front and delegate in Spain, Jira Bulahi, and the Saharawi delegate in the region, Mohamed Labat.
During the meeting, Bulahi Sid has sent Francisco Calderon, as representatives of the municipal government, its appreciation for the sensitivity shown by the Consistory with the Saharawi people, embodied in the participation of the City in the Holidays in Peace program, through a collaboration agreement Smile with Sahrawi Association.
City Hall, from the inauguration of the present government, collaborates with this entity by a financial grant for the maintenance of an initiative that allows families of all the region, including various cartageneros homes, accommodate a hundred Saharawi children during the months of July and August.
Thus, children Sahrawis enjoy a summer away from the high existing in the Algerian Hamada, in addition to access to reviews médicasque need, enrich their diet with fresh and top quality products, temperatures while living an experience enriches visitors and host family.
It is recalled that last July 15, the mayor, Jose Lopez, received at the Palace Hall to children who have spent the recent summer period in Cartagena, forming a nice souvenir for young people visited the different locations of the headquarters of City Hall in addition to receiving various memories as testimony of their passage through Cartagena.
POSSIBLE TWINNING
In another vein, the Saharawi representatives have informed Calderon intends to initiate the process to foster a partnership between Cartagena and the Saharan city of Boujdour as a token of gratitude and fraternity among peoples, far in space, shorten distances with solidarity and mutual affection.
