As every last Sunday of September, the Cicloturista March Carthaginians and Romans will tour the west of Cartagena showing the beautiful views of their natural surroundings.
On 25 September, more than a hundred cyclists will focus on a new route that will add 101.4 kilometers with the inclusion of four mountain passes.
The XXVI March Cicloturista organized by the Cycling Club Cartagena in collaboration with the City, has been presented by the Councillor for Sports, Ricardo Segado, the president of the cycling club Cartagena, Antonio Gallego, and the vice presidents, Diego Sanchez and Juan Jose Vera.
This year presents a novelty in the circuit with a tough and demanding layout, as indicated by the council, which will rise four mountain passes: Cedacero, Algarrobo, La Cuesta and El Alto del Cedacero through its most difficult side from Isla Plana to Cartagena.
Runners will be able to enjoy practically all the panoramic tour of the beautiful things of Cartagena and Mazarrón.
The start will take place at 9:00 am in the morning from the door of the festive camp Carthaginians and Romans, having in this same place the goal line past two in the afternoon.
During testing controls they will be made to bring together cyclists at different points, besides having a refreshment point in La Pinilla.
The march will be controlled with an average speed of 23km / h and is expected to be done in about five hours.
The Councillor for Sports, Ricardo Segado, thanked the Cycling Club Cartagena his dedication and effort to turn this event into an icon of sports and tourist image of the city of Cartagena.
The call is open to all lovers of cycling, and has a registration fee of 25 euros for Club members and 45 for non-federated.
There will be prizes for the youngest and oldest in men's and women participating, as well as the largest group.
