The mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez, attended various events of Carthaginians and Romans scheduled for this weekend at several points of the city.
After the opening speech that gave start to the celebrations at the Palace Hall, the mayor, Jose Lopez, inaugurated the camp festero cutting red tape himself.
He was accompanied by Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejon, and Councilman celebrations, Juan Pedro Torralba.
That same night, attended festero 23.30 in the camp, the appointment of the Worshipper of Honor and the subsequent jury selection beauty contest, Roman Legion Worshippers of Venus and Olympians.
Sunday continued the celebrations with the representation of the plenary session of the Senate of Rome on stage at the Port of Cartagena at 18.30 hours.
It was attended by the mayor, Jose Lopez, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejon, celebrations Councilman Juan Pedro Torralba, and the Councillor for Tourism, Obdulia Gomez.
The week of festivities to begin Monday with Mayor Anibal Weddings and Imilce, at 21 am on stage at the Port of Cartagena.
Here the connection between the Iberian princess Imilce and the Carthaginian general Hannibal at the beginning of the Second Punic War is commemorated.
