The Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora, accompanied by the secretary general of the Ministry Manuel Marcos Sánchez, today received the Murcian student Yago Ibarrola, who qualified in the top ten of Spain in the final of the XXVII Olympiad Mathematics National.
Yago Ibarrola is sophomore ESO Jiménez Institute of the Sword of Cartagena, and has been among the top 10 in Spain in the Mathematical Olympiad in which he conducted tests of Geometry, Arithmetic, Algebra and Statistics, among others
This Mathematical Olympiad convokes the Spanish Federation of Teachers of Mathematics and organizes each year one of the federated societies in the autonomous community lies.
The purpose of the test is to compete in problem solving capabilities and management of the spirit of collaborative work.
The Minister congratulated the students and encouraged Murcia Murcia students "to participate in such initiatives that promote school success."
