The beginning of autumn is near, and the Department of Social Services City of Cartagena has prepared a full program of activities aimed at the elderly and people with disabilities, which will take place between the months of October to December.
The Councillor for Social Services, Carmen Martin, along with the councilman of the Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon and President of the Federation of older, Maria Beteta;
They have been responsible to disclose all the details of this program.
Carmen Martin for a society that cares for its elderly and disabled people is their a more just and egalitarian society;
why age should not be an obstacle for further learning.
To this end, the Department of Social Services has designed these measures to help the elderly and people with disabilities amantener their physical and intellectual abilities in the best possible conditions, promoting active and healthy aging, and promoting social relations.
Councilman Area Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, stressed that the program is divided into two main groups;
on the one hand there are activities for all seniors and people with disabilities and on the other hand, the largest of the 42 associations in the municipality.
In the first block they stand out as major developments initiation workshops theater, responsible consumption and chi kung and tai chi.
In addition, due to high demand the English workshop has been dissected into three levels: basic, intermediate and conversation.
In the section dedicated to associations include the deGerontogimnasia program, memory stimulation, workshops leisure and cultural weeks.
REGISTRATIONS
Those interested in participating in these activities can register from today, September 16, up to 7 calendar days before the activity begins at the Municipal Office of Care for Elderly and Disabled Persons.
This program is intended for people over 60 and people with disabilities.
