About twenty young people have participated during these days in a drug prevention program in the youth hostel Canteras.
The activity has been a space for reflection and analysis in which young people have provided opinions and assessments that support and guidance to value the role they play in society.
Program Youth Drug Addiction Prevention in neighborhoods in the area of ​​Leisure is funded from the fund of confiscated property by illicit drug trafficking and related crimes, and allowing preventive work with young people in their own environment and neighborhood, where they are involved all social losagentes in the area and their families.
During the conference they visited the young Councillor of Social Services and Social Mediation, Carmen Martin del Amor, and the coordinator of Social Services, Damián Pérez Olmos, accompanied by those responsible for the Colectivo La Huertecica and Rascasa Association, specialized associates in prevention, and technicians from his department.
In addition to Canteras, this prevention plan is developed in the neighborhoods of San Anton, Slum Lady of Charity, St. Lucia and St. Felix Slum, participating young people from these neighborhoods aged between 18 and 30 years.
