This morning the meeting of the Evaluation Commission grants to neighborhood associations, convened by the Department of Decentralization and Citizen Participation has taken place, to evaluate applications submitted in Concurrence Competitive.
In total, there have been 115 applications, 72 of them belonging to neighborhood associations.
The commission was chaired by Juan Pedro Torralba Villada, Councilman Decentralization and Citizen Participation, taking part as members councilors Maria Jose Soler and Francisco Aznar, besides the President of the Federation of Neighbours, Cristina Roca, and officials from the Department of Decentralization.
The total budget of 218,000 euros grant is aimed at encouraging citizen participation and partnership, as well as the maintenance of social premises.
For adjudication they have been taken into account loscriterios reflected in the rules of the call.
This meeting was also addressed, with the Federation of Neighborhood Associations, the search for ways to revitalize neighborhood associations to be more participatory and involve most of the neighbors, channeling through the Federation of Neighbors and walking in conjunction with the Department of Decentralization and citizen participation to achieve, together, a more direct and in keeping with the times participation.
