This Friday, September 16, will begin the Festival of Carthaginians and Romans, and during the days that last the celebrations, the Department of Equality held the Harassing campaign is not flirting, with the aim of raising awareness among citizens in eradicating chauvinistic attitudes and to end abuses and sexual harassment.
Councillor for Equality of the City of Cartagena, David Martinez, has been commissioned to publicize Tuesday the details of this campaign.
The mayor stressed that it aims to work and promote free, equal, respectful and non-sexist relationships during the holidays.
In addition, according to Martinez, it has the support of other political groups among which the Cartagena training Yes We Can.
The main means of dissemination of this campaign will be through social networks to reach all sectors of the population, and especially young people.
Another action will be the placement of a traveling billboard elcampamento where those who wish may make selfies of hands, to be disseminated through social lasredes with the tag # Respect me.
In addition, the company ALSA place the poster campaign on the lines of urban buses and posters will be distributed through the camp and other parts of the city.
These actions are organized with the collaboration and support of the Federation troops and legions of Carthaginians and Romans, as well as the involvement of other bodies such as the collective Carmen Conde, feminist platform March 8, the Cartagena Red Cross, ALSA, the program Implica2 the Youth Council and the Federation of Mediterranean Women.
OTHER CAMPAIGNS FOR EQUALITY
This campaign aims to join the prevention and awareness activities being carried out from the Department of Equality for the eradication of violence against women.
The last program, If you feel suffocated ... is not love, organized in collaboration with the Department of Youth, Culture and Public Safety, whose motto was Respect had a great reception.
Moreover, from the Department of Equality they want to remember that the Center for Victims of Domestic Violence, CAVI is available to all women who need advice in this area.
