After the summer season comes time to plan and undertake new youth searching and training activities.

For this reason, the Youth Council of the City of Cartagena has launched a campaign to spread the Youth Guarantee program aimed at both young and entities, associations, organizations working with young people and the population in general.

With this campaign, the Department aims to reach the population sector that is neither studying nor working, over 16 and under 30 who want to join the Youth Guarantee System.

The Youth Guarantee is a European initiative that aims to facilitate the access of young people to the labor market.

In Spain it is part of the Youth Entrepreneurship Strategy approved by the Ministry of Employment and Social Security.

The Youth Guarantee aims to enable young people to get a job, education or training after completing their studies or become unemployed.

This campaign will run with three types of images designed by Olalla Mellado, young graphic designer, beneficiary turn System Youth Guarantee, which provides services in the Youth Council, within a program of Local Public Employment subsidized by the Regional Employment service and Training and funded by laIniciativa youth Employment and the European Social Fund for young beneficiaries of youth Guarantee.

This young man has tried to convey what it has meant for their participation in the Youth Guarantee program.

Next to Olalla Mellado have benefited from this program Local Public Employment five other young men who work until the end of September, in other departments and services of the City of Cartagena, mainly in the Youth Council and the Agency Local development and Employment.

The purpose of estasubvención is to provide work experience and improve the employability of young people under 30 enrolled in Youth Guarantee.
