The next Saturday, September 10, Cartagena will host the first edition of Painting Competition Outdoor City of Cartagena: Streams of Modernism.
With this cultural activity you want to show momentum and recognition to artists, professional or amateur, in the field of painting, and the great architectural heritage culturaly which houses the port city.
Painting Competition Outdoor City of Cartagena: Streams of Modernism is organized by elAyuntamiento Cartagena along with Caja Rural and Regional Lalumier Events & Communication Foundation.
During the day on 10 September, the artists perform their works on the streets from 8:00 hours mañanahasta 18:00 pm, and should bear the necessary equipment to do the work as well as uncaballete .
Each applicant can participate with one work, admitting all kinds of technical and aesthetic trends, with minimal support 70 × 50 cm and a maximum of 120 × 120 centimeters.
Finally at 18:00, painters must present his canvas in the San Sebastián square to be discussed and evaluated by the jury.
REGISTRATIONS
Those interested in participating in the contest will formalize your request through the electrónicoconcurso@lalumier.es previously mail, by sending your personal data and identity card scanning;

They may also formalize your application the same day of the contest from 8 am at the San Sebastián Plaza (Cartagena).
CATEGORIES AND AWARDS
The organization has established three age categories: adults, from 17 years;
youth, between 11 and 16 years, and child for children under 10 years.
The first two awards from the adult category are endowed with 1.200 euros and 800 euros respectively, sponsored by the Regional Rural Safety Foundation.
In addition, a diploma will be awarded.
The first prize in the youth category is provided for 300 euros, sponsored by the Art Gallery Gigarpe and a diploma.
The three winners of the children's category will receive three awards of artistic material valued at 100, 60 and 40 euros, respectively, company-sponsored Fine Arts Michelangelo and accompanied by a diploma.
The awards ceremony will be attended by the Councillor for Culture and Heritage area of ​​Cartagena, Ricardo Segado, which will be responsible for closing the act.
JURY
The jury is composed of María del Carmen Berrocal, Municipal Coordinator of Heritage Cartagena;
Javier Lorente, ArtNostrum representative of the association;
Juan G. Sandoval, president of the Regional Association of Art Critics;
Pedro Diego Pérez Casanova, an expert painter outdoor competitions;
the Cartagena painter, Salvador Torres;
yAlfonso Aznar, director of the gallery Gigarpe.
They will be responsible for selecting the winners of the three categories.
Later, between September and December 2016 will be held exhibitions with informative nature of winning lasobras, and about 30 of the works in the contest.
A first in Fuente Alamo, from 16 September to 2 October;
the second in the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia, from 27 October to 11 November;
and finally the Byzantine Wall Museum November 18 to December 4.
