The Department of Sports, headed by Ricardo Segado, thanks through a letter to the chairmen and members of the board, work and involvement of football clubs based on the promotion of sports among the youngest of Cartagena .

Also, the mayor has encouraged to continue with the training work, teaching values ​​such as companionship, competitiveness or respect for opponents and rules.

Mowing stresses the need to recognize the commendable work done from the clubs, also thanking his complete surrender and involvement with something as important as sport and its promotion in childhood and youth of Cartagena.

In this regard, the council ensures that the commitment of the Department of Sports is to achieve this goal, which could not be achieved without the cooperation of sports clubs in the municipality of Cartagena, as well as all those who make up each of these, from the president to the monitors who live every day and teach students at their school.

Finally, Mowing encourages them to continue this line of work, promoting the values ​​of sport over winning or losing, with the aim of forming youth clubs ready and with a full education and lifelong.

LOCAL LEAGUE FOOTBALL BASE

Local youth football league, organized by the City of Cartagena, this season reaches its XXIV edition.

The competition will start next October with the participation of over two hundred teams and four thousand athletes aged between 4 and 18 years.

Ricardo Segado says the Local League youth football is and should be an example to show to other municipalities.

The City Council want all these children and young cartageneros that are part of this big family, always play on an equal footing and are all participants in the achievements of his team and their clubs.

Also, the mayor reports that the Department of Sports will present a gift to each of the participants to encourage leaders and kids to continue learning and inculcating the values ​​of sport clubs.
