This morning have carried out the installation work Peral Submarine replica at the roundabout located between Captains Ripoll Street and Paseo Alfonso XIII.
The work consisted in filling the surface with a layer of gravel and the subsequent installation of a pedestal as the submarine support.
The area of ​​Infrastructure, led by the Mayor, Jose Lopez, began late last August tasks conditioning roundabout as prior to placement of the replica of the submarine Peral step, as it was desire of the residents of environment.
They have been present for performing these tasks, the general director of Infrastructure of the City of Cartagena, Manuel Nicolas, and the president of the Neighborhood Association of Sector Station, Fulgencio Sanchez.
Peral Submarine replica was made years ago by students at the Polytechnic Institute and was located in the Paseo Alfonso XIIII Campus of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT).
It is recalled that recently the Ministry of Education of the CARM yielded to the UPCT replication by Polytechnic students.
Meanwhile, the municipal government has heeded the request of the neighbors of the station sector, expressed through their neighborhood association, demanding the installation of submarine in the new roundabout.
He is currently in a second phase study regarding this project would impact other areas of the Paseo Alfonso XIII.
