Local Police Cartagena has controlled a total of 2,424 drivers during the last campaign Road Safety, developed between 22 and 28 August, to monitor speeding on roads in the municipality.

The campaign, conducted in collaboration with the Directorate General of Traffic, has been salted with the complaint of 34 drivers, whose vehicles exceeded the limits, representing only 1.40 percent of vehicles checked.

The Road Safety Act and the General Traffic Regulations set the rules applicable to generic and specific speed limits, overtaking speed and distance between vehicles.

Failure to comply with these rules is classified as serious or very serious, fined 100 to 600 euros.
