The neighborhood Cuatro Santos gave last Friday, August 26, the kick-off of its popular celebrations, with the opening speech of the Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejon, in the park Juan Jose Cano, where the coronation of mises and music took place in live for the enjoyment of the audience.
In his opening speech, Castejon went to the neighbors of Cuatro Santos wishing you happy holidays and praising the work of the Party Commission as they have developed a varied and entertaining program, with activities and dedicated days each neighborhood groups, without forgetting the Hospital of Los Pinos, where they will hold a Mass offered for a different kind sick day.
In addition, Deputy Mayor stressed the great advocacy work carried out by the neighbors during their holidays, with activities such as michirones contest, with which disclosed this rich local dish among visitors.
Ana Belén Castejon recalled that the government team is making a special effort to equip districts and councils of the infrastructure they need and referred to the works to be carried out in the park Juan José Cano so that residents can make use local what it has.
The ceremony was also attended by the council of Celebration, Juan Pedro Torralba, the Councillor for Tourism, Obdulia Gomez and councilman of Culture, David Martinez.
After the opening speech, we proceeded to the coronation of queens and delivery of bouquets, which included the active participation of the mayors, and the popular dance with the Duetto group.
The festivities, organized by the neighborhood association in the neighborhood Cuatro Santos collaboration with laConcejalía of Celebration and Culture Department of the City of Cartagena, lead to 4 September at the neighborhood different leisure and gastronomy.
