The Vice Chancellor of Campus and Sustainability meets with the director general of Universities funding formulas to analyze the new headquarters, which could include an increase in European Funds
The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) may tender the project design and construction of the new School of Architecture and Building in the final quarter of 2017, "if all goes as planned," warned this morning the Vice Chancellor of Campus and Sustainability Marcos Ros after meeting with the general director of Universities, Juan Monzó.
Both have held a meeting at the University to analyze the funding formulas of the new headquarters of the School of Architecture and Building, which may include an increase in European funds.
According to Ros, "in the absence of the final realization of global investment, the UPCT will launch next quarter for the entire procedure to advance the project definition, and meet deadlines."
"If all goes as planned, could make the tender for the building in the last quarter of 2017, and start work at the end of 2017 or early 2018," continued the Vice Chancellor of the University.

The building will be located on the campus of Alfonso XIII, on the site now occupied by the Library.

Temporary facilities for the School of Nursing
During the meeting also they discussed the possibility of signing in September a cooperation agreement between the UPCT, the Ministry of Education and the University of Murcia, to temporarily give up part of the ground floor of the former administrative building of the City, order to accommodate the temporary needs of classrooms and offices of the School of Nursing of the Autonomous Community.
