A broad representation of the Spanish team of Senior Ladies Dragon Boat has visited today, July 19, elPalacio Hall of Cartagena, where they were received by the Deputy Mayor of the City of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejon and the Councillor for Equality, David Martinez .

The Spanish National Senior Ladies Dragon Boat travel to Rome later this month to participate in the XII edition of the European Championship Dragon Boat.

The team consists of thirteen women who trains regularly at the Real Club de Regatas de Cartagena.
DRAGON BOAT
The Dragon Boat is a water sport of rowing in which different decorated boats with Chinese tradicionaldragón face, on routes 200, 500 or 2,000 meters and composed of a team of 10 or 20 paddlers, plus a charge the drum that keeps the pace and another person that goes in the back of the boat and is responsible for maintaining the direction.
In the Dragon Boat there are two forms of competition DB12 and DB22.
The Dragon Boat has become one of the greatest exponents in team sports which refers primarily by the festive character of the races (called festivals) and the necessary synchronization during practice thereof.
It requires teamwork, sacrifice and solidarity.
