If there is a trilogy that has helped the expansion of Nordic crime novel boom, this is undoubtedly the Millennium Saga.
But in contrast to that global and absolute fame, it highlights the ignorance of readers work needed for millions of people to enjoy literary creations of others.
That role is the translator, who is also co-author of the texts translated and greater recognition which has today deserves.
For that reason, La Mar de Letras's main invited Martin Lexell, a Swedish, Spanish apprentice, Madrid adoption as himself, translator of the Millennium Saga is defined.
The author will talk with Lara López on Literature and Translation Monday July 18, at 19:00 in the Temporary Exhibition Hall of the Museum of the Roman Theatre.
In addition to this trilogy gentile, Lexell has to his credit translations of the biggest Swedish authors: Sjöwall and Wahlöö, Per Olov Enquist, Stieg Larsson, Lena Andersson, David Lagercrantz and Arne Dahl, who will also visit Cartagena this week.
These days, the public will have the opportunity to listen to some of the best writers of contemporary Swedish black novel, as Erik Axl Sund, the aforementioned Arne Dahl and Mons Kallentoft accompanied by presenting the category of Lara Lopez de RNE and writer and winner of the 2015 Herralde, Marta Sanz Prize.
On Tuesday La Mar de Letras continues with a meeting with the poet Clara Janes and poetic recital Rewrite to Tranströmer.
Clara Janes cultivated poetry, novel, biography and essay and is distinguished as a translator in various languages.
At 19:00 he will talk with the poet and translator murciano Soren Peñalver on Swedish Poetry in the Roman Theatre Museum.
Then the poetry of Nobel's 2011 will fill the Temporary Exhibition Hall at the recital Rewrite to Tranströmer, in which Aurora Saura, Beatriz Miralles, Mamen Piqueras, Natalia Carbajosa and Vega Cerezo presented to the public the poems they have created inspired by the work of the poet, translator and Swedish psychologist.
The Molina Palace will host on Thursday 21 at 11:00 hours goers Letters Bazaar People's University, who will live a very special encounter with Danny Wattin after reading his novel The Treasure of herr Isakowitz.
