The Fishermen's Association of Cartagena on Saturday celebrated the Day of the Virgin of Carmen, the patron del Mar. To celebrate this day, there was the traditional delivery of fish, about 800 kilos, to different charities in the city.
At nine o'clock began delivering lots, which was attended by the Councillor for Social Services, Carmen Martin, accompanied by the Mayor Patron of the Fishermen's Association, Bartolomé Navarro.
Charities that received this fish were Casa Cuna, Charity Hospital, Nursing, Hospitality Sta. Teresa, Torre Nazareth Sisters Cistercians, Home of Bethany Good Samaritan and Solidarity Lounge Jesus, Master and Shepherd.
In the afternoon, the inner harbor of Cartagena was filled with flowers with the maritime procession of fishermen to honor the image of the Virgen del Carmen.
