The City of Cartagena has received today, July 15, the visit of thirteen Saharawi children who will spend the summer with cartageneras families.

PROGRAMMING HOLIDAY IN PEACE
Smile Sahrawi association is an association that struggle to bring solidarity and cooperation with the Saharawi people.
This newly established association comes to channel the solidarity movement in the region of Murcia to the Sahara and has been organizing the Holidays in Peace program since 2015.
The Holidays in Peace Program offers Spanish families the opportunity to develop a humanitarian emergency measure welcoming in their homes to children between 8 and 12 years during the months of July and August.
The main objective of this program is to keep children away from the harsh weather conditions and exile in the desert area.
This program organizes and conducts welcomed monitoring program host Sahrawi children on their summer holidays with families of Cartagena, in coordination with the Saharawi delegation of the Region of Murcia.
During his stay in Cartagena minors were conducted a comprehensive medical examination where a review of vaccines, dental, eye and ear will be included.
These children on holiday can enjoy a balanced diet during the summer months to help them face the winter with more health.
