Two showrooms in two different spaces enliven two worlds intertwine and converge between reality yficción.
That is the aim of the project The Johanssen, which can be visited in parallel in El Batel and elPalacio Hall and that includes the work of a group of artists around the life of a Swedish whaler who arrived in Cartagena in the century XVII.
Councillor for Culture, David Martinez has come this morning to the room of the Batel to contemplate and present the first party that includes this exhibition, framed within the La Mar de Arte section of the twenty-second edition of the festival La Mar of Music.
Johanssen is the most common surname in Sweden, 260,000 people take it;
something like the Spanish Perez or Martinez.
In the exhibition, this name is chosen to show that a project on the history globally is built on a highly individual character who is both a stereotype.
The starting point is the appearance of a false day on which a story of four centuries in which his descendants losgrandes participates in all moments of history cartagenera, leaving testimonies from inside and outside of each moment unfolds.
This is a project that rethinks the exhibition strategies La Mar Art and seeks a confluence in the development of a project to the collective and individual.
Everything is generated on the scheme of literary exquisite corpse looking for a truth that at times broken by the extremes to which the story takes.
Despite showing a very powerful content, the project has a strong recreational load.
The mayor also highlighted the role of sound in this exhibition space of the first seat, as we found with that mixture between traditional Swedish music and the music of Cartagena.
In the whole of this double work is the work of artists charris, Javier Arce, Jose Luis Serzo, Manuel Saro, Gonzalo Sicre, Francesc Torres and Pedro Guirao, and is curated by Nacho Ruiz, the T20 Project.
It has been the curator who has invited the public to think about how much truth there and lie in history and leaves in the air that each person forms his own idea itself.
