Culture and roots music this weekend joined in the final stretch of the XXIV National Folk Festival District of Cartagena, held in La Palma, dancing to the rhythm of Iberian percussion and showed traditional music and dance of national groups in their closing.
Dedicated this year to the figure of the troubadour José María Marín and based in Agrifood Experimental Station La Palma, the Folk Festival brought together many asistentesen this call that every year is traditional music players.
To the rhythm of percussion programming Iberian weekend began.
On Friday, July 8, Percussion Band Orchestra Coetus starred one of the strongest events of the festival program.
With the backdrop of 200 palm trees eighteenth century, 17 musicians performed on stage at the Patio de las Casas Grandes La Palma different topics with a wide collection of Iberian instruments.

The climax of the XXIV Folklore Festival District of Cartagena took place on Saturday July 9, with the participation of groups from all over Spain in the Folklife Festival.
The mayor, Jose Lopez, and the Councillor for Transparency, José María Soler, attended the last day of programming that gathered a large audience.
In this Folk Festival they gathered from La Palma Group Children's Folk City Santa Florentina and Cartagena, the Municipal Group of Regional Dance of Granada, Choir and Dance Zarandona Murcia, and Ethnographic theAssociation Don Sancho de Zamora.
The closing shone the sky with a fireworks display at midnight, marking the end of this twenty-fourth edition of the Festival Folkloric District of Cartagena.
