On July 12, 1873, 143 years ago, it took place the political start of the Cantonal Cartagena Uprising.

Pararememorar this historic date for the city, next Tuesday July 12 City Council has organized a series of events to remember the vicissitudes experienced by the Canton of Cartagena and its proclamation by the Revolutionary Junta Municipal Public Salvation, which occurred during the First Spanish Republic (1873-1874).
