Life on other planets, the possibility of a manned mission to Mars or survival to the impact of asteroids mission are some of the issues on which aims to reflect and respond the course Major Milestones, Challenges and Mysteries of Astronomy which organized the City Council Cartagena through the T-the joint program laUniversidad Cartagena Polytechnic and the Astronomical Association of Cartagena.

This summer course will take place between 11 and 14 July in the hall of degrees of the School of Telecommunications Engineering.

Youth Councilman, Ricardo Segado, has been commissioned to present all the details for those interested in enjoying several days of presentations of excellence.

The opening of the course will be on Monday 11 July at 9.00 am, and from there days of lectures, panel discussions and activities whose protagonists are, among others, Mariano Moles, Susana Iglesias, Rafael Rebolo, Jose Carlos del Toro and happen Sonia Morales.

Also the deputy director of the School of Telecommunications, Jose Victor Rodriguez, wanted to encourage the public to attend this course which aims to encourage the world of astronomy and investigate about some questions flashy, ultimately, to take a trip through the great milestones as well as the challenges and mysteries that man has asked throughout history.

In addition to the presentations, as complementary activities is a solar observation you will realize on Wednesday 13 July between 11.30 and 14.00 hours and an excursion to the Astronomical Center Cartagena along the course.

For his part, the president of the Astronomical Association, José Bonet, said that since the company, which this year celebrates its thirtieth anniversary, conduct open days, courses and workshops, and it has attracted thousands of people , so he invited anyone interested to join this world.

INSCRIPTION

The registration period is now open and will run until July 6, with a maximum of 25 seats but may be extended.

The price is 60 euros and completion of the course involves obtaining credits: 2.5 LRU and 1 ECTS.
